Thursday is hiking day and even though it was a rainy day in Cape Town, we headed out for a walk in the Newlands Forest, nestled against the side of Table Mountain.
I couldn't resist taking a pic of this sign, good to know that someone has thought of that, unfortunately its seems to be a universal phenomenon that dog owners still have to be reminded to clean up after their pets!

Almost weekend! :)
You have gorgeous places to go hiking!! Enjoy your day! Lots of love, Holly and mom
ReplyDeleteYes, we always have a supply of poo bags. Once she forgot to pick them up on the way back and we got to do the walk ALL over again!

MAXMOM IN JOHANNESBURG, SA
MaxMom - Well today we have a sunny day down here - who knows what awaits us this weekend! One really can experience four seasons in one day in this city of ours... Hope you have a lovely weekend up your way as well!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if you are familiar with American movies but a
ReplyDeleteclassic is one called "Walking in the Rain" staring Gene Kelly and Debbie Reynolds. That old movie made walking in the rain look like fun :-)
Ron - I'll have to go and look for that one at the video store! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great sign! Never have seen one as fun as that one. What a gorgeous place to hike. I love the photos on your other blog, especially of the waterfall. Would love to go there! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteK and Suka
K and Suka - That's what I thought too! Was a pleasure sharing - I think I'll give an update every week once I've posted the pics... We really do live in a special place!
ReplyDeleteAt least you like the rain little one.... My Yorkie loves the rain too but her chihuahua aunt (my mom's dog) does NOT which makes it tuff.
ReplyDeleteI just read about sweet Abbey's accident and I absolutely was choking back tears by the time I finished. I think I stopped breathing at some point. I love by furbabies to the point that some people I know think it's an obsession. No one but another pet owner would understand the love and commitment we make to our pets.
ReplyDeleteI have a little Yorkie also - he's my latest edition - we've only had him about 2 months. I've had dogs all of my life but he's different. Maybe it's little dog syndrome - but he's not like any other dog I've had. I cannot imagine what I would do if I went through what you did with Abbey and I'm so thankful for her miracle recovery. God was definitely watching over her.
